Misty comes to us from her history of running security at local bars and our annual gala. During the days she would do her photography, help out with births as a Doula and volunteer at the kids school almost daily. Melissa Twomey was born and raised in Kelowna, BC. She resides here with her husband Marc and is lucky enough to have all her immediate family surrounding her. Melissa has her BA with a major in Psychology, a Masters in Counselling Psychology and extensive post-masters training in trauma related work. Completing her Masters and working in the community to accomplish graduation requirements allowed her to see firsthand the lack of mental health support available. Melissa has a passion for helping others and supporting them through their journeys. She has taken her education and provided our mamas with mental health support from the early days of Mamas for Mamas.

``Ever since I got pregnant, I’ve been thinking of ways to give back to Mamas that aren’t as fortunate. Today I’m so excited to announce that I’m delivering a years supply of Pampers to two of my favourite charities that

help Mamas in need - BabyGoRound and Mamas For Mamas. I've partnered with Pampers because every baby deserves comfort and softness.
#pampersbabypanel will be posted with every diaper delivery we do at Mamas for Mamas.``

Rachel Gray was working in the corporate world in Oakville, ON as a Business Development Manager for over 10 years before needing to hit reset on her life. Having her two amazing daughters really opened her eyes to all the ways in which women and mothers needed to be supported in her community and beyond. She joined Mamas for Mamas hoping that she could make a real impact and put the professional experience she had gained to valuable use. She also started her own business Femme Powerup to support women through fitness & friendship; building up all facets of confidence as mamas and women in a safe and loving space. She is excited to continue to grow with Mamas across Canada and getting to work side-by-side with other volunteers who are so generously giving their time and joining the Mamas family.
